Compose a focused paper that explains and describes your healthcare issue or topic from a cultural and ethical perspective of inquiry. (You will cover two perspectives in one paper.)

· Compose a “Level 2 Research Question/Writing Prompt” for each kind of inquiry that provides detail, specificity, and focus to your inquiry, research, and writing.

· State your research questions in your paper’s introduction.

· Form the body of your paper by answering each research question and support your assertions with evidence (research).

· In the conclusion of the paper, briefly review the issues, research questions, answers, and insights.

· In the State of California legally requires age 21 to consume alcohol. Due to age requirement for driving is young as 16. Restricting drinking age had helped in preventing drunk driving in young age. Age 21 drinking restriction had decreased 16% of motor vehicle accidents according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

· What ethical obstacles affect how the medical community addresses the issue?

· How do ethical theories apply to the issue?

· How do money, power, and control matters relate to the issue and its treatment?

· How is the issue addressed differently in varying cultural contexts and situations?

· Non-US born Asians are less likely to abuse alcohol consumption.

· More of English language uses, it increases use of alcohol

· Which cultures or societies are most affected by the issue? Why?

· Immigration background had influenced people’s drinking behavior. Groups who are have positive cultural protective influences from origin cultures are more likely to not drink much. In Latino culture, more acculturation is involved, people tend to drink heavily and have problem drinking.

· After immigration, how they adapt to the new culture affect on their drinking behavior. Their language use, and schooling and social institutions impact on alcohol consumption. Younger immigrants who have moved to the United States are more likely to misuse alcohol.
