2) Are HBCUs still at the forefront of the Civil & Human Rights Struggle? Why or why not?

3) Should public schools be responsible for providing Black and African American Studies course? If not why? If so, then what is your response to Asian Americans, Native Americans, LGBTQ Americans and LATINX who also think their histories are also absent from public school curriculums?

4) Can and should public education play a prominent role in reducing violence and death against persons of color at the hands of law enforcement officials? If so, then how? If not, then why?

5) Consider the impact of the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision. Overall, did public school integration improve the learning experience of African American students? Consider: Magnet Schools, Charter Schools Vocational-Technical Schools and “Talented and Gifted” public school programs.

6) Discuss your experience in this course. What did I do well? What did I do poorly? How can I improve the delivery of this course for future classes?
