Cumulative essay asks you to consider all aspects of global security
and relations as well as various international relations theories. These
concepts are applied to a specific case. You should cite the assigned
article and the textbook as appropriate.

Essays
are due December 2nd prior to 3:15PM. Late essays are not accepted.
Essays must be uploaded to Canvas as word documents. Note that the
course will not meet this day and the papers are due in lieu of a class
meeting at the end of the normal time.

Read
Suzanne Rust’s “How the US betrayed the Marshall Islands,” (Links to an
external site.) in the LA Times, November 19, 2019 and then provide an
international relations analysis of the global issues. Address each of
the following points:

Analyze how each type of global security issue is present in this case: consider national, economic, and human security.
With regard to human security, please address and discuss both the human rights aspect and the environmental aspect.
Identify how international relations concepts of anarchy, diversity and complexity relate to the case.

seems to explain the current relationship between the US and the
