Write My Essay For Me

Answer both of the following questions (50 points each). Each question asks you to address readings from two different weeks on your syllabus (through Week 10). The readings that you address in Question 2 should be different than the ones you address in Question 1. In other words, you should show me that you have read and understand the arguments in readings from four different weeks in the semester. [By “readings,” I am referring to any article included on the syllabus, not a handout distributed to the class.] Each essay should have a clearly stated argument, which you should try to prove to me, with evidence, drawing on the readings. UNDERLINE YOUR THESIS STATEMENT.

1.) One of the dominant myths about immigration to the United States concerns the notion of assimilation works the same way for all immigrant groups. According to this myth, every immigrant group, after reaching the United States, has had to “pay its dues,” confronting rejection and occupying a lower status, before eventually being incorporated into U.S. society and finding social acceptance. This semester, we have discussed numerous readings that challenge this mythology from various perspectives. In a short paper (2-3 pages, double-spaced), explain the major shortfall(s) of this dominant account, drawing on two readings from two different weeks on your syllabus. In your response, draw directly on the readings (with direct citations), and UNDERLINE YOUR THESIS STATEMENT.

2.) Several of the readings we have looked at this semester establish a connection between relations of power in society and the construction of ethnic and racial categories. Drawing on two different readings taken from two different weeks on your syllabus (through Week 10), answer the following question in a short paper (2-3 pages, double-spaced): how is power related to the construction of racial and/or ethnic identities? In your response, draw directly on the readings (with direct citations), and UNDERLINE YOUR THESIS STATEMENT. (PLEASE NOTE: Again, the readings you select for this question must come from two different weeks than you chose for Question 1.)

GUIDELINES FOR THE EXAM:
• LENGTH AND FORMAT:
➢ NO MORE THAN 6 PAGES, PRINTED, DOUBLE-SPACED. (In other words, 2-3 pages per question; 4-6 pages total.)
• STYLE:
➢ Here are some suggestions that you may want to follow in writing your responses:
➢ Introduction: There should be a clear introductory paragraph. This paragraph should present your argument, including your thesis statement, which is the main point you are making in the paper. Recall that: a question can never be a thesis statement. “In this paper, I will explore power,” is not really a thesis statement because it doesn’t tell me anything about how power works.
➢ Conclusion: There should be a concluding paragraph. This paragraph should wrap up the major ideas you want to communicate to the reader, either summarizing major themes in your response or developing implications from your argument.
➢ Citing the text: When citing the text, you should keep your broader argument in mind. You should ask yourself: Does this citation help to explain what I am trying to say? Use citations when relevant, but the paper should not be a long string of citations. You may cite simply by indicating the author and page number in parentheses (Castañeda, p. 87).
GRADES
• A-Level Tests: These essays will have a clearly stated argument (thesis); which you defend effectively, drawing on the readings to support the central point. The papers will show an understanding of the readings. Beyond summarizing the class notes and texts, these papers will demonstrate analytic skills by establishing a substantive dialogue between the readings and by bringing your own analysis/voice into the discussion in ways that offer original insights.
